What Do I Offer?
I provide authors with all of the core files needed to self publish to online publishing sites (All Romance, Amazon, Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Smashwords etc.).You’ll receive custom formatting of an eBook from any manuscript provided (.doc, .docx, .rtf files only) The service includes mobi, ePub and html builds of the eBook, complete with provided meta-data (title page, copyright info, isbn # etc.) and cover artwork (provided by author). Smashwords formatted .doc files can also be provided upon request.
I know this process can be confusing so I offer free consultation for all authors considering formatting services. If you decide to use Winged Styles, in progress screenshots will be provided through-out the eBook build.
Formats
MOBI and EPUB
The golden standards. These eBook formats are the most commonly used by ereader devices and applications. MOBI files are the files of choice for Amazon Kindles and any Kindle sideloading.EPUB files are used by every other eBook reader (and eBook retailers like Barnes & Noble, Kobo and Apple). Winged Styles can include style and decorative graphic elements, such as initial/raised/dropped caps and chapter heading vignettes or graphics.
EPUBs and MOBIs are also the most common formats sent to book reviewers.
SMASHWORDS
Many authors use Smashwords to get their content out to the masses. While useful in getting eBooks into multiple online stores, the process software used by Smashwords can be somewhat difficult to work with and sensitive to even the slightest problem in Word documents.Upon request a clean Word file, formatted based on Smashwords standards along with the required Smashwords notices can be provided.
HTML
Proper custom eBook formatting almost always requires the use of HTML. All HTML files created for your eBook will be provided along with the completed mobi and epub files.Rates

Time Frames
The time required to complete formatting and full review varies based upon the length of the manuscript provided. Final delivery time frames are listed below. I’ll take an initial look at your manuscript, and send you a list of questions about how you want your final formatted eBook to look.The initial "first look" process takes 1-3 days from your initial email. Once I've gotten all the necessary information from you the clock officially starts ticking and I will send you the converted file(s) within the timeframes listed below (often less) unless there is an otherwise agreed upon deadline*.
Final Delivery Time Frames
- less than 25k words - 1 to 3 business days
- 25k to 65k words - 2 to 5 business days
- 65k to 150k words - 5 to 7 business days
- 150k + words - to be determined
(25k words or less $15, 25k - 65k words $25, 65k to 150k words $50, 150k +words negotiable ).
Payment
PayPal is the preferred method of payment. However I do accept checks and credit card payments as well. I understand how critical and daunting this experience can be and strive to make it as easy and smooth as possible for authors to get started.At the end of the project you will receive all necessary files and fully built eBooks, along with the source HTML and document files, once full payment has been received. I do provide work-in-progress files and updates to make sure the eBooks look the way you want them to.
